Alice Dansey-Wright is an artist and teacher with an interdisciplinary practice that includes mural painting, textiles, collage, model making and illustration. She has a strong interest in repurposed materials and likes to experiment with scale, illusion and trompe l’oeil. She often works collaboratively with other makers and has a breadth of experience in learning and engagement activity.

Her most recent work has been as an associate artist with Platform in Easterhouse, as a Creative Connections artist at the Fruitmarket Gallery in Edinburgh and as a Widening Participation Lecturer with Glasgow School of Art.

These collages were created in response to a shared question about Glasgow’s green spaces. Drawing on reflections on the 1988 Garden Festival alongside experiences of the city’s parks today, the works explore what participants would like to see in their local green spaces. The process invited both practical proposals and speculative, dream-like visions – imagining parks without limitations, where personal desires, collective needs, and future possibilities could coexist.
